Under the guidance of William Alexander Miller was where it all started in a one-room log cabin located on the Old Plain Dealing Road. Here is where, Professor Miller, Principal of the twenty member student body, ranging in grades from one through six, youngsters were educated and promoted by reading books. Eventually, the school relocated to the present area where the Middle School stands. The Hall of Fame committee is pleased to nominate Mr. Miller to the Alumni's Hall of Fame for being a pioneer in establishing our school system. Professor Miller, you started it all. Your family, the long lists of the Miller relatives and all others who graduated from Springhill High School, appreciates your efforts in establishing the first educational process in Springhill. The Alumni and the Citizens of Springhill honor you proudly. Thank you, Professor Miller. |
